Andrea obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Mount Allison University and a Biotechnology Diploma in Industrial Microbiology with High Honours from Centennial College of Applied Arts and Technology. Andrea joined the Canadian Integrated Program for Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance in 2000 (Public Health Agency of Canada, National Microbiology Laboratory, Guelph, Ontario) where she worked as a laboratory technologist and later as an epidemiologist and data surveillance officer. After moving back to New Brunswick in 2021, Andrea was the Lab Operations Manager and Biological Safety Officer at the Atlantic Cancer Research Institute in Moncton. She currently works as a Research Study Coordinator with the Infectious Disease Clinic at The Moncton Hospital and has taken on the role as Research Coordinator for the Atlantic Team of the CTN+.
