CTN+ Community-Centred Knowledge Mobilization Hub
The CTN+ KM Hub is embedded in the Network to support the involvement of community and knowledge users in guiding research priorities, study activities, and sharing results to maximize the relevance and impact of our work.
What is the Hub?
Our Knowledge Mobilization Hub is a diverse group of academics, community members, and creatives, all working together to facilitate integration of community-centred approaches in research and knowledge mobilization. It acts as a resource for network researchers to access KM resources, training, and assistance.
What do we do?
One of the core responsibilities of the Hub is to ensure that people with lived and living experience and other knowledge user perspectives are included in all CTN+ research and knowledge production activities, guided by close attention to inclusion, diversity and equity within these spaces.
The overall goal of the Hub is to embed knowledge translation activities and co-production throughout the CTN+ research process, from idea, to execution, to dissemination of results to a wide variety of audiences for uptake in practice and policy.
KM Hub Leads
The leads of the KM Hub guide the overall function and processes of the Hub, with constant contact with Hub members embedded through the Regional Teams and Think Tanks.
Resource Library
Our Resource Library is a place to share documents, videos, and training resources about HIV and STBBI research and related topics. If you have suggestions about additional resources that should be made available in the Library, please contact info@ctnplus.ca.
Explore Resource LibraryMetadata Project
The CTN+ has led some of the largest HIV cohort studies in Canada, but optimal use of the data is limited by lack of a central repository and standardized data collection. To solve this, CTN+ researchers and staff developed the Metadata Project, categorizing collected variables into 3 tiers and 35 domains to improve reusability of existing data, highlight research gaps, and enhance data practices.
HIV Cure & Immunotherapies Approaches
This document, produced by the CTN+’s Cure and Immunotherapies Think Tank in response to requests by community members, is intended for people living with HIV, front-line staff, and community members seeking information about the immune system and the potential HIV cure and immunotherapy strategies currently under investigation. Before outlining these main approaches, a brief overview of the immune system — and HIV’s impact on the immune system — is provided. The various phases of clinical trials are also outlined.
