Dr. Tejan Baldeh is a physician and researcher currently completing specialty training in Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Queen’s University. He earned his medical degree from the University of Limerick and holds a Master of Public Health from McMaster University.
Dr. Baldeh’s research interests include infectious diseases, sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBIs), diagnostic testing, evidence synthesis, and healthcare guideline development. He has collaborated with international organizations, including the World Health Organization and the European Commission, contributing to evidence syntheses, guideline development initiatives, and methodological research aimed at improving healthcare decision-making and patient outcomes.
As a CTN+ Postdoctoral Fellow, Dr. Baldeh’s research focuses on improving the use of point-of-care testing for syphilis within Canadian public health settings. His work aims to better understand factors that influence test performance and support evidence-informed approaches to STBBI prevention, diagnosis, and control.
