Dr. Jerome Siromani is based at Newfoundland & Labrador Health Services in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador. Jerome has almost a decade of experience as a practicing radiologist and has held health care leadership-related roles, both in the clinical sphere and in the research sphere. He also holds an MSc and a PhD; both degrees are in Clinical Epidemiology, and both degrees were received from Memorial University of Newfoundland. His research projects have comprised work on Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), Quality of Life (QoL) Measures, After-Hours Availability of Primary Health Providers, and Non-Urgent Visits to Emergency Departments. Most recently, Jerome has been involved with the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA), during which his duties included – administrative work, quality assessments, and data entry. He also has recent work experience as a Teaching Assistant (re: Biostatistics), while drafting and editing documents (e.g. Research Protocols, submissions to Ethics Boards, Knowledge Dissemination-related summaries, etc.) are among his apparent strong suits, too. With origins in a region where several STBBIs are widely prevalent, Jerome has had a longstanding interest pertaining to – the diagnosis, treatment, and cure of (specifically) HBV, HCV, and Syphilis.
